Technical requirements for zinc alloy die casting

2026 07/04

Zinc alloy die casting is a precise casting method that uses high pressure to force molten metal into complex-shaped metal molds. It is a precise casting technique. The characteristics of the zinc alloy die-casting process and how to select the correct process parameters are the decisive factors to obtain high-quality zinc alloy die-casting molds. It is correct to adjust the conditions for selecting process parameters. Therefore, how to plan the mold is essentially a comprehensive assessment and reflection of various possible factors in the aluminum alloy production process. So, what are the requirements for molds in zinc alloy die casting? Let the editor tell us about it.

1. High-quality selection of die-casting mold materials;
2. Demand a reasonable mold wall thickness and mold size;
3. Pay attention to stress tempering during rough machining;
4. Select appropriate heat treatment, cast zinc alloy molds, and ensure a fast quenching speed;
5. Thoroughly polish and remove the EDM disturbance quality layer;
6. There is no highly polished surface;
7. Try to minimize the use of aluminium and speed up the injection process.
8. To ensure proper cooling of the mold, the temperature of the cooling water must be maintained at 40 to 50 degrees Celsius.
